Two powerhouses in textiles have been united after it was announced that British based supplier of premium fabric Fox Linton has been acquired by Thai Silk experts Jim Thompson.
Fox Linton is well known for producing beautiful high quality textiles, usually in neutral tones, created from carefully chosen yarns to promote elegance and durability. Located in London at the well-known Design Centre at Chelsea Harbour, Fox Linton is an exclusive representative of luxury brands Jim Thompson, Loro Piana, Holly Hunt, Bart Halpern and Ensemble London. The brand is known for its impressive, prestigious customer base, which includes internationally acclaimed luxury brands like Harrods, Sunseeker Yachts and Four Seasons Hotel group.
The acquirer, Jim Thompson, has long been recognised as the leading brand for Thai Silk but also creates an array of luxurious home furnishing textiles, sold worldwide and featured in some of the best Thai and international hotels. Jim Thompson boasts an impressive 48 retail outlets and home furnishing showrooms in the USA and Europe alone, with distribution in 39 countries.
Fox Linton and Jim Thompson have a long-standing association and plan to use Jim Thompson’s expertise to extend the international profile of Fox Linton. Jim Thompson is already a key feature of Fox Linton’s London showroom; Phil Cadle (managing director of Fox Linton) described the union as ‘a logical step’, considering the company’s good existing relationship.
Fox Linton will continue to work from their Chelsea Harbour showroom.
